How do I resolve error E-C10, E-C02 or C-R1 when printing?

Having troubles printing with Andy?

The following are the solutions to some of the most common errors that may occasionally occur when printing with Andy.

E-C10

This error indicates a connection failure between the printer and the device. You can easily troubleshoot this error by follwing these steps:

  • Restart the printer
  • Turn Andy off completely and turn it on again
  • Ensure that Bluetooth is connected (on your device: Settings > Bluetooth and verify that the printer model is connected)
  • Disconnect Bluetooth from all linked devices except the one you want to print with. If the Bluetooth symbol in the upper right corner of the printer screen is in bold letters and it doesn't print, it means that the printer is connected to another device.
  • Restart your device

E-C02

This error indicates that the pairing between the printer and Andy is not connecting. It can easily be resolved following these steps:

  • Restart the printer
  • Ensure that Bluetooth is connected (on your device: Settings > Bluetooth and verify that the printer model is connected)
  • Disconnect Bluetooth from all linked devices except the one you want to print with. If the Bluetooth symbol in the upper right corner of the printer screen is in bold letters and it doesn't print, it means the printer is connected to another device.
  • Restart your device
  • Access Andy > Settings > Printer > Tap on the linked printer > Save settings. If it continues to fail, delete the linked Printer > Add printer and follow the steps to pair it
  • Reset the Brother printer to factory settings and re-Pair Brother printers with Andy

C-R1

This error indicates a failure in the connection between Andy and the printer. Simply follow these steps to resolve it:
  • Restart the printer
  • Ensure that Bluetooth is connected (on your device: Settings > Bluetooth and verify that the printer model is connected)
  • Disconnect Bluetooth from all linked devices except the one you want to print with. If the Bluetooth symbol in the upper right corner of the printer screen is bold and it doesn't print, it means the printer is connected to another device.
  • Ensure you have an internet connection (Andy > Settings > Status > Start test). If the connection is insufficient, try connecting to another network or sharing mobile data with your device.
  • Ensure that the Andy app has all permissions enabled (on your device, Settings > Apps > Andy and enable all permissions)
  • Reset the Brother printer to factory settings and re-Pair Brother printers with Andy
