Connecting your Brother printer to Andy using WIFI


The following article outlines the process you need to follow to link your Brother printer to Andy using WIFI on your Android and iOS device.
Before starting the connection process, please refer to this post to find out which printers are approved for labelling with Andy.

Activating WIFI mode on the Brother printer

Check the printer itself to make sure the WIFI mode is activated:
  1. Press Menu
    Then  to select: 
  2. a. WLAN. Press OK.
    b. On /Off. Press OK.

  3. Press    to select ON. Press OK.
            


Connecting the printer to your WIFI network
   

  1. Go to WLAN > Manual Configuration Infra:




    a) Select your WIFI or select "Other..." and enter the network name.
    b) Enter your WIFI password by navigating with   and click OK (use the Menu button to switch between uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols).



  1. On the printer display, press Menu > WLAN > WLAN Status > Infrastructure Mode



       
  1. You are looking for the IP Addr, as you will need to enter it into Andy later on (it should look something similar to 192.168.1.1)


Connecting the Brother printer to Andy
 
If this is your first time using Andy's Labelling Tool and had not previously configured it, you'll see the message "The printer is not yet configured". Click on "Go for it" and it will take you to the Printer Setup section.Once in Andy's main menu  go to Settings > Printer and click on:

  1. Select your printer: TD-4550DNWB

  1. Select the WIFI printing method

  1. Enter the printer's IP Address in ANDY (you'll find it on the printer: Menu > WLAN > WLAN Status > Infrastructure Mode > IP Address)

  1. Name the printer (opcional)

  2. Click on Save



Your Brother printer is now connected to Andy and ready to start labelling!
