Rmoni Sensor Installation Guide in Andy

Rmoni Sensor Installation Guide in Andy

How to install Rmoni in Andy

In this guide, you will learn how to install and configure Rmoni in Andy at a site.

We will explain step by step how to configure the RmoniWeb application, install the gateway and probes, add a repeater if necessary, and configure the sensors.

Once finished, you will be able to check the system status to make sure that all devices are correctly installed and connected.

Before you start

Before starting the installation, make sure you have:

  • The access credentials provided for RmoniWeb.
  • The gateway.
  • The probes you are going to install.
  • A repeater, if necessary to ensure adequate coverage.
  • A magnet to activate the probes.
  • Materials to secure the devices, such as double-sided tape or cable ties.

You will also need a mobile device with access to the App Store or Google Play.

1. Download and configure RmoniWeb

  1. Download the RmoniWeb application from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Open the application.
  3. Enter the provided customer name. Modify it if necessary.
  4. Enter your username and password.
  5. Log in.

Once you have logged in, you can start installing the devices.

2. Install the gateway

The gateway connects the devices installed at the site to Rmoni.

To install it:

  1. Connect the gateway to the power supply.
  2. Wait until the SYSTEM ONLINE indicator remains solid green without flashing.
  3. Scan the gateway's QR code from RmoniWeb.
  4. Register the gateway in the application.
  5. Place it on the wall, near the refrigerators and freezers.
  6. Install it at a height of more than 2 metres.

Important: before continuing, check that the SYSTEM ONLINE indicator remains green.

3. Install and configure the probes

The probes record the temperature of refrigerated equipment.

Install and configure each probe by following these steps:

  1. Hold a magnet near the probe's QR code to activate it.
  2. Scan the QR code from RmoniWeb.
  3. Enter a name that clearly identifies the equipment where you are going to install the probe.
  4. On the Link Sensor screen, check the device information:
    • MAC address.
    • Organizational unit.
    • Sensor name.
    • Asset type.
  5. Define the Sensor Alias. You can choose the name you prefer to identify the sensor. This is the name that will appear in Andy.
  6. Complete any missing fields and tap Save Sensor.

The MAC address is detected automatically when the device is scanned.

  1. Place the probe inside the corresponding refrigerator, freezer, or refrigerated equipment.
  2. Secure it using double-sided tape or a cable tie, depending on the type of equipment.

Repeat these steps for each probe you need to install.

4. Install a repeater

This step is only necessary when you need to extend the coverage between the devices and the gateway.

To install the repeater:

  1. Connect the repeater to the power supply.
  2. Check that the Connected indicator flashes blue.
  3. Scan the repeater's QR code from RmoniWeb.
  4. Register the repeater in the application.
  5. Place it on the wall, in an intermediate position between the gateway and the refrigerators or freezers that require greater coverage.
  6. Install it at a height of more than 2 metres.

Note: if all devices have an adequate connection to the gateway, you do not need to install a repeater.

5. Check the installation

Once all devices have been installed and registered, check that the system is working correctly before completing the installation.

  1. Open RmoniWeb.
  2. Go to Settings > Check System Status.
  3. Review the equipment list.
  4. Check that all registered devices appear in green with no issues.

Select a device to view additional information, such as:

  • Signal strength.
  • Battery level.
  • Firmware version.
  • Probe type.
  • MAC address.

If a device does not appear in green: check its connection to the gateway or the nearest repeater. Do not complete the installation until you have verified that all devices are correctly connected.

Sensor configuration in Andy APP

To configure sensors from Andy APP, go to Settings > Sensors.

Once there, the list of available sensors will appear. Linking with Rmoni is performed automatically, so no additional configuration is required.

The sensors will appear in Andy with the Sensor Alias defined during their configuration in RmoniWeb.

If the expected devices do not appear, tap Refresh to update the list. After refreshing, you will be able to see the available sensors and their linking status.

If a sensor appears as not linked, select it to access its configuration. From there, you can assign it to the corresponding equipment, which will have the alerts and incidents associated with that sensor configured.

Process:

  1. Go to Settings > Sensors.

  2. Tap Refresh if the devices do not appear.

  3. Select the sensor that appears as not linked.

  4. Assign it to the corresponding equipment.
