How to turn a sensor off from the Andy APP?

How to turn off a sensor from Andy APP?

What is it?

Sensor shutdown is a feature that allows you to temporarily disable sensors directly from the Andy APP, preventing them from generating alerts and incidents while they are turned off.

What is it for?

It is used to manage sensor deactivation in a controlled way during specific operational situations, such as maintenance, equipment replacement, or planned shutdowns, while maintaining traceability of the shutdown reasons.

How to access it?

From the Andy APP, go to the Sensors tool, select a sensor, and choose the “Turn off” option.
Andy will ask you to enter a shutdown reason - a mandatory step to complete the action.

What will you find?

  • The option to manually turn off sensors.

  • Note that sensors that are turned off do not generate alerts or incidents.

  • A new display on the main screen showing the number of sensors that are currently turned off.

💡 Tip: Use a clear and specific shutdown reason to make tracking easier and prevent sensors from remaining turned off longer than necessary.
