How does Andy calculate the times on the labels?

To unravel the mystery of how Andy calculates the times on the labels you're about to print, let's begin by differentiating the two types of "times" currently available on the app: Expiry and Thawing.

Expiry time

This refers to the secondary expiration of the product. In other words: the new expiration that needs to be calculated after the original packaging has been modified whether because it has been opened or changes in storage conditions have occurred.

This time can be configured in minutes, hours, days, months, and years.

The following is an example of configuration in the Control Panel:

Thawing Time

This process takes into consideration the time it takes for the food to thaw and it is ready to be served.

Once the time is over, Andy will apply the secondary expiration.

The thawing time must be added as Andy starts counting the secondary expiration from the moment it is printed.

Thawing time can also be configured in minutes, hours, days, months, and years.
