Andy’s Library is a space designed to store different types of files, such as videos, photos, and documents.
It’s an extremely helpful training tool as all team members are able to access the information they need to perform their tasks correctly: recipes, instructional videos, cleaning procedures, HACCP manuals, maintenance contacts, etc.
You can easily configure Andy’s Library from the Control Panel and organise it into categories and subcategories (as many as you need). This allows resources to be categorised according to each store’s requirements.
Here's an example of how Andy’s library would look with categories and subcategories arranged in the Control Panel.
To create Categories and Subcategories, in the Control Panel go to Settings > Library > Categories.
Then, create your Categories by clicking on the +Create Category button, located in the upper right corner of the screen.
To create a Main Category, you need to fill in the category name, limit access according to roles (if necessary), and mark it as a main category.
To create a Subcategory, click on the Create Category button and fill in the same fields as in the previous screen, deselecting the option "Is it a main category?". By deselecting it, you can then choose the main category to which this new subcategory belongs.
Once the categories are created, you can add resources.
In the Control Panel, go to Settings > Library > Resources and click on the +Add Resourcebutton, located in the upper right corner of the screen.
Firstly, select the type of resource you want to create: image (jpeg, png, svg, or gif), video (mp4 or YT or Vimeo video link), or document (pdf, excel, or zip).
Once the resource type is selected, simply attach the resource by clicking on the Attach Resource button and fill in the fields for thumbnail (if required), name, description, select the category (or subcategory) it belongs to, and indicate if it is assigned to a specific store/s, if it is highlighted, if its availability is limited, and/or if it can be downloaded.
